Dorset Button Making with Wee Yarn Designs
Dorset Button making began in the 1600s in Shaftsbury, Dorset. It became a thriving cottage industry promoting independence and security for many women and families. Sadly the introduction of the button making machine in 1851 caused the industry to go into decline. Upcycle Weaving with Little Tangle
This creative workshop involves learning about the basic techniques of weaving and creating a contemporary wall hanging using a variety of materials. In this special eco-friendly workshop Karolina will guide participants in the creation of funky wall tapestries made out of wool scraps and many other beautiful fabric leftovers. Each participant will be able to express their own style and make a unique, quirky piece of wall decoration to take home. All tools and materials are included.
