Hello! I’m Emma and together with my husband Darren, we are E&D Workroom. Born and raised in Bangor, I am a graduate of Ulster University and UCE Birmingham in Applied Arts and Jewellery & 3D Design respectively. At college I was layering precious metals in resin, but these days I work primarily with paper, producing delicately layered 3D illustrations and developing contemporary quirky pieces by experimenting with, and modernising, traditional decoupage craft techniques.

Since 2013 I have developed a range of artwork for children called the Sweetiemice collection. Every design is sketched, coloured and fine-tuned before being cut into individual pieces to then reassemble into a 3D prototype. The final design is then printed, cut, layered and framed.

I am always experimenting and developing new ideas… you will see some of my other work at the back, or if you would like to commission a unique artwork, I can make a custom handcut piece just for you.
